romance and a lot of character built within its four posts. These
stalwart 3 5/8” octagonal wood posts are elaborately finished
with metal finial caps and wood-turned feet. A wonderful ¾”
square top rail is arched precisely like a cast iron gate from generations
past, forming the profile of the headboard. The ¾”
square rail at the foot of the bed mimics the exact curve of the
headboard in reverse—it dips provocatively down, making it
easy for anyone to sit at the foot of the bed. However, the real
personality of the bed lies in the carefully honed details of the
grill. Slender ½” spindles and scrolls swirl lavishly
to make an intricate pattern that truly does welcome all who enter.
Metal wraps bind the scrolls at key points throughout the bed.The
Riviera has a highly attractive multi-step finish, appropriately
named Gun Metal for its steel-pistol color. This richly textured
dark gray is highlighted by muted gold wraps that provide an extra
dimension in color and depth. The posts are finished in a smooth
Acorn brown that has a slightly rustic feel. The Riviera bed has
the makings of a bed to last for generations. It is manufactured
in full, queen, and king sizes. The Riviera is available as a headboard
only with all the tools required to attach it to your existing standard
sized metal bed frame. The king size headboard can be used with
an adaptable cal-king metal bed frame to work with any standard
cal-king sized mattresses.
