Marilyn
herself would have loved the Monroe bed. A study in voluptuous design,
the tall four-poster bed is both elegant and intriguing. The gleaming
1 ½” swaged posts are cleverly shaped, reaching upward
to cap off with an elaborate 6 ¼” finial. Cast feet
balance the striking finials with a delicate etched shape. The smooth
curves of the 1” top rail on the headboard and footboard reach
out to each of the four posts. A similar wave-like ¾”
bottom rail bounds from one side to the other. Rounded scrolls and
linear spindles create a symmetrical pattern that ripples out from
the center of the grills. Wonderful detailed castings garnish all
intersections of the bed for a last, memorable finale.Earthly Sand
finish is a mysterious earth tone that envelops the Monroe bed--a
finish of textured sand with a creamy ecru and chocolate brown.
Highlighting the casting detail with ecru on the highpoints and
chocolate brown in the deep carved detail; adding a certain dimension…certain
tenderness to the entire bed. The Earthly Sand finish features light
beige with chocolate brown accents in the finials and a textured
finish. It is manufactured in full, queen, and king sizes. The Monroe
is available as a headboard only with all the tools required to
attach it to your existing standard sized metal bed frame. The king
size headboard can be used with an adaptable cal-king metal bed
frame to work with any standard cal-king sized mattresses.
